Try to avoid wearing tampons for two to three months.

Do you mean that it hurts to put it in at all, or that it just hurts after it's in?

Are you using cardboard or plastic tampons?

Put it in slowly at an angle. Push it up until it resists. If it's all the way in, you shouldn't really feel it. If it hurts going in, try a slimmer/lighter tampon with a plastic applicator and go slowly.

Cardboard def hurts more than plastic. Try plastic.
