Anyone else suffering from a cold that everytime you cough your pelvic floor muscles have weakened to such an extent that you leak every cough -_- does it get better when you recover? Soooooo humiliating -_-

There are some exercises you can start now girl. I got the info at my last midwife appt.
Not sure it gets better on its own....

HAve a look up how do do kegels the right way because they do work to stop the leaking. But if you're doing them wrong they are no use the 3 tips are:

1. Squeeze like you're holding fart - keep holding
2. Squeeze like you're holding pee - keep holding
3. Squeeze to "lift everything up"/ "draw everything in" - hold for 3-5 seconds and only THEN let it all go for about 10 seconds, and go again.

its a 3 step process : and you hold each while adding another before letting go; then you repeat it 20-30 times a day.

To test whether you're squeezing right muscles test it while you pee and it should stop your pee mid stream. Its not advised to do that too often as you will confuse the brain reaction.

Worked for me, i tighten before sneezing = no more leaks.

I always practiced kegal exercises after my son even though I had a c section, I used to leak in my sleep after 14 weeks, not a lot but was enough to wet a liner. I still do it years later but when I got pregnant this time its like another level, when I first started vomiting I used to almost wet myself completely it was HORRID!!!! Had to wear liners and tissue. Thank God that's passed lol xXx
