Is it bad?

Postby 2019baby » Sun Jul 12, 2020 4:00 am

Due to the global pandemic, I haven’t been able to go to an ultrasound. My doctor said it was fine but I wanted some other opinions? Is that bad?

Which section do I go too? I’ve had an ultrasound just not recently.

It could have been posted in the "third trimester" section.

With that being said the answer to your question really depends. When was your last ultrasound? Is your pregnancy low or high risk?

My last ultra sound was about 1-2 months ago. I had a routine check up at 33 weeks

As far as the ultrasound, that would have put you somewhere between 30-34 weeks when you last had one right right?

If so and your low risk then your doctor is probably right and its fine that you haven't had an ultrasound since then. I know my doctor usually only does 4 ultrasounds during a low risk pregnancy with the last being at 32 weeks.

However if you haven't had an appointment at all since 33 weeks I would definatley be questioning it. It may be different because of where you live but I know my doctor is still doing all routine appointments (although most have the option of doing them over the phone) and that hasn't/wont change. I personally wouldn't feel comfortable being that far along and not being able to go to the doctor as there is alot that can happen.

I’m Low risk and have talked to my doctor recently, just haven’t had a ultrasound or a face-to-face check-up.

I used to only get one ultrasound during pregnancy. Between 18-21 weeks. If there are no other issues, I wouldn't worry.
