Breastfeeding one side

Postby Sharanya 9 » Fri Aug 28, 2020 7:40 pm

Hi All
I have flat/ inverted nipples. I used nipple shield later my baby is comfortable with out nipple shield on the left side but my right nipple is still too small, my baby is not able to suck it . He is habituated with out shield on the left and rejected shield on the right, so I’m pumping out right side. it’s 23 days now I’m feeding my baby on the left often. What will happen if this continues, today I noticed my milk supply decreased on the right. I’m scared.
Will my baby get enough milk with only one breast ? or will my milk decrease left as well ?
Please advise

The side that he sucks more should be able to keep up. I noticed if I pump, that side produces less than if baby sucks.
