Need help!

Hey all, first time poster.

I was wondering if some people could help me here, I recently started seeing this guy and of course I want to have s*x, but I want to do this the safest way possible because personally being pregnant is my biggest nightmare.

I’m not currently on any birth control, so my method would be to use a condom & pullout method in conjunction with doing it on a safe day. I know this isn’t the safest option even though I’ve tracked for years and can tell when my ovulation days are due to mucus/discharge.

Here’s what I’m worried about; I have an appointment to get checked about my period pains as I highly suspect I have endometriosis, and I know a solution to this is to start birth control. The doctor I’m seeing specialises in IUD’s, and I know you need absolutely no chance of being pregnant to get one implanted.

Should I just wait? Or am I being super paranoid about nothing and just go ahead and do it and be safe with what I have?

Absolutely no method of contraception is 💯 I think you just need to do what you think is safest and not overthink it to the point you won't enjoy it. I've relied on condoms alone at one point and been fine but could easily not have been. Just make sure when you use them they stay put and you'll be fine.

If you can I suggest waiting until your appointment and talk things over with your gynecologist. They can suggest the best method for you based on your personal medical history and what's available.

As above said no birth control is 100% effective. I suggest looking into the different options and seeing which sounds best and definitely consider the side effects of each.
