About to start IVF (First timer)

Postby dammy_74 » Wed Sep 16, 2020 3:18 am

Hello, I and my partner have been trying to conceive for about two years. Due to some factors, we have been directed to try IVF, this is my first attempt at IVF and I have never been pregnant. I will like to know if there are others embarking on a similar treatment, so we could support each other by sharing our experiences as we go.

I'm also on my IVF journey right now. I began in May and scheduled for my transfer on 9/25 if my U/s is clear on Saturday. I will say it can be a long and emotional roller-coaster.

Thanks Dancemom,I wish you the best with your transfer. IVF is indeed a journey. I have just started with the preliminary steps of the IVF, I am trying to get my mind ready for all the uncertainties that come with the process. However, I hope for the best.

Thanks Sahara for the advice, I will try to stay away from Google. I had my transfer on Saturday, no visible signs of implantation yet but am hoping for the best. I wish you good luck with the IVF procedure Karlaisc, may all our efforts bring us our bundles of happiness. Try to stay positive and enjoy the process as much as possible.

Hi everyone! This is the very first time I am posting on one of the app's forum. My husband and I are also starting IVF for the first time. I just had an appointment with a nurse today (after seeing the fertility specialist) and she walked us through the whole process. Our IVF cycle (I should actually say ICSI) is to start on the first day of my period which is due in just two weeks. I'll apparently have to do a blood test on day 1 and start injections on day 2. I am super excited but also a little anxious so finding a support group and people going through the same process would make me so much more at ease. I wish you all the very best and for all of us to become parents soon 😇💕

Hi ladies, we are hoping to start our journey very soon also, we are just waiting for our first appointment to get things going. Very anxious about what to expect. Can I ask for those of you that have already had your initial consultation, how soon after that do things start?
