33 and starting IVF

Postby Daci » Thu Aug 06, 2020 1:53 pm

Hi guys so I’m 33 and my husband have low sperm count he is 38 we have been trying for 14 years but no yield, the doctor said this year that he has a blocked vein in his testicle and that it might help the sperm count however it’s not guaranteed. So we decided to try the ivf however I’m scared because she also told me there is a 30 percent success ratio for me and a 70% failure. Whewwww are they any advice for us what we should do when we try this to increase our Chances thanks, guys.

Hi! I'm 33 y/o and my Hubs just turned 37. We started our 1st IVF cycle on may. He's got a good sperm count and in my case the Dr. told me I've got a 60% chance of getting pregnant on this first cycle because I'm very young.
Do you have any health problem that could diminish your rate?
Maybe you should ask for a second opinion.
On your husband's case, you should ask to get ICSI. That way his low sperm count won't matter as much.

Hey guys sorry for the late response I just got back access to my account was having a hard time with the password. Anyways so due to corona we had to postpone our transfer to last month I did the transfer tell weeks ago my beta day was today and when I went in this morning it was negative I feel so useless right now all I want to do is cover my head and stay there. And that was a 5day blastocyst. I'm trying to muster up the courage to try again but I'm scared.
