Ok, so my friend (her name is Lucie/Luce) came out to her parents as a lesbian, and basically they cried and told her that they loved her, no matter what.


Is it bad that I feel jealous of her (and others who had such a great reception)?

No of course not. You deserve that great reaction. So of course you are going to be jealous of people who got what you didn't. I'm jealous as well. My mom pretty much acted indifferently. Which was disappointing when it was so hard for me to figure this out and say those words.
